European Law Department offers post-graduate degree programmes at the Masters (M.A) and Ph.D levels. The M.A. Masters programme encompasses an exciting array of exclusive events including seminars, conferences, methodology studies, court simulations and social events alongside the courses. The programme includes not only EU public and private law courses, such as Law and Institutions of the EU; EU Constitutional Law; Judicial Review in European Law; EU Competition Law; Patent and Trademark Law in the EU; External Relations Law of the EU; Freedom of Movement in EU Law; Turkey - EU Relations; but also Scientific Research Methods and Ethics and Seminar to enable students to develop their skills of handling legal matters analytically from the EU law perspective.
This programme is designed for students, who are graduated from a law school, professionals, already working as a legal consultant or advocate willing to broaden their knowledge of EU law and understanding of the European integration through law, graduates of schools of law working for non-governmental organisations and government and Academic Staff willing to broaden their theoretical and practical understanding of EU law. The students either submit papers or enter into written exams to pass each of the courses depending upon the choice of each instructor.
The Ph.D programme is designed as a two stage-programme. At the first stage students are required to take courses of EU law offered in the first year and then in the second stage to prepare and submit a Ph.D thesis on the research questions remaining within the scope of EU law.
